    Steve Case,
    Chairman, AOL Time Warner

"Heenan's analysis of those who have achieved great things reminds us of the importance of achieving balance. Perhaps it is not the celebrated passions that make Heenan's subjects so successful, but the richness of private obsessions that inform and fuel these passions."

    Tara VanDerveer,
    Stanford Women's Basketball Coach
    and 1996 Olympic Coach

"An enlightening, engaging, and provocative look at how to blend careers and personal pursuits for a truly fulfilling life. Must reading."

    Spencer Johnson, M.D.,

"Rarely does one book inspire and instruct as well as Double Lives. Through numerous rich examples this book brilliantly provides both the 'juice' and the path to help us live our passions while living our life."

    Jerry I. Porras, Professor Emeritus,
    Stanford Business School and
    co-author, Built to Last

"Heenan's persuasive argument for nurturing serious interests beyond the world of work makes Double Lives both timely and a superlative read."
